January Meeting at Ruby Tuesday

Jan. monthly meeting will be on Jan. 22nd at Ruby Tuesday.  That will be our Ruby Tuesday fund raiser.  Ruby Tuesday donates a percentage of their proceeds that night to the club.  Angela will be e-mailing flyers to members to print and distribute.  People need to show the flyer for the proceeds from their meal to go to the club.

December Monthly Meeting

Dec Monthly Meeting - This will be our annual meeting where we elect officers and board members.  It is also our Christmas party.  We will meet at Coltons Restraunt on Tues Dec. 11th at 7:00 pm.  We will order from the menu, Dutch treat.  You can check out the menu ahead of time at http://www.coltonssteakhouse.com/menu.html  After a very brief business meeting, we will play games and do a gift exchange.  If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift with a value of $10.00 or less.   Directions:  Colton's is located on highway 160 West.  It is about 1/2 mile past Wal-Mart on the right.

Christmas Parade - Dec. 8th

Christmas Parade - Dec. 8th in West Plains.  We will meet at the George White walking park at 4:00 pm.  The parade starts at 5.  Bring your dogs.  We would like to show off all the different breeds and all americans that belong to the club.  We will not be doing a float this year.  I am bringing my 1 ton flat bed truck for those who want to ride.  The parade moves at a pretty good pace - fast walk.  The parade route is a little over 1 mile long.  Because the truck is hard to get on and off of when moving, you will probably want to decide if you are going to walk or ride.  I will bring a 2 step foot ladder to help folks get on and off.  I would recommend blankets and warm clothes if you ride.  If somebody has some straw or hay bales we could put a few in the center of the bed for folks to sit on and some could sit with their legs hanging off the side of the bed.  I don't remember the exact title of the theme but it has something to do with the celebration of lights.  So if you have some way of lighting yourself or dog up, that would be nice.

Directions to the park:  If coming from the north - take business 63 south- Turn on 6th St (just a little north of Hardee's, Mo Farm Buruea Insurance is on the corner).  Go straight at the first intersection, cross the bridge, park will be on the left.  If coming from the south or downtown take business 63 north - Turn right on Minnesota Ave, turn right at 6th St or W. Thomburg (according to google maps 6th St. changes name at this intersection).  The park will be on the left.  If you are coming from the north I would recommend getting to the park a little early.  I'm not sure what time they will shut off traffic on Business 63.
