Updated RDO Events & Information Sept. 21

The South Central Missouri Kennel Club will be hosting a Responsible Dog Ownership day and Agility Fun Match on September 21st at the ball field at Mammoth Spring State Park in Mammoth Springs, AR.  The day will start at 1:00 p.m. with Jumpers with Weaves competition.  Classes will be novice, open, and excellent.  Dogs are required to go over a series of jumps, thru weave poles and a tunnel.
Throughout the day dogs of various breeds will be there.  You can meet their owners and learn about the breed.  This is a good opportunity to find out more information about a breed you may be interested in owning.  At 5:00 p.m. a parade of breeds will be held.
Dogs and handlers will be demonstrating K9 Protection, Field/Hunt, Search & Rescue/Tracking, and Carting.  At 5:15 p.m. a relay agility demonstration will start.  This event involves teams of dogs in head-to-head competition going thru a series of weave poles and a tunnel.  At 5:30 p.m. AKC Canine Good Citizen testing will take place.
Admission to the event is free.  The entry fee for the Fun Match is $5.00 per run (up to 4 runs per dog) if mailed by Sept. 10th and $7.00 per run after that date.  Canine Good Citizen testing is available for $10.00.  Information and entry forms are available at www.scmkc.org  under upcoming events.
